FUSIONX IS APPROVED BY NHBC ACCEPTS

NHBC, the leading warranty and insurance provider for new homes in the UK, have completed their Annual Audit of FusionX, a light gauge steel frame system from Fusion Building Systems. FusionX provides a fully non-combustible wall solution made up of a combination of fire-tested component parts.

The Audit confirmed FusionX complies with any industry changes such as revised Building Regulations, Standards and published guidance and as such maintains its accreditation of NHBC Accepts.

NHBC Accepts is an all-inclusive, end-to-end service that helps to build confidence in innovative construction and enable innovative products to be fast-tracked for NHBC warranty. Innovation Manager for NHBC, Richard Lankshear said: “Following a thorough approval process, including detailed and robust technical reviews of design, manufacture and construction, we are delighted to welcome FusionX to NHBC Accepts.

NHBC Accepts plays a critical role in ensuring developers, manufacturers, lenders and consumers have faith and confidence in the quality of new homes built with innovative forms of construction.

As Mike Fairey, Director at Fusion Building Systems said, “FusionX has been developed from the knowledge gained from our 20 years of design and manufacturing capability. The cladding ban has seen significant changes throughout the construction industry, and we have all had a responsibility to review our systems and materials to meet the new standards. The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) has set relevant new criteria for residential buildings, and we’ve worked hard to prove the performance of our existing systems, as well as placing significant investment in new products.

FusionX - non combustible for buildings over 18m in height

“FusionX is a result of our hard work. Made up of a combination of fire-tested component parts to create a fully non-combustible wall, FusionX brings precision by off-site manufacturing and provides endless benefits to construction projects, including on-site efficiencies and cost certainty.

“We’ve worked with the NHBC for many years and they understand the Fusion system. I hope their renewed confirmation of FusionX acceptance, will lead to housebuilders opting for FusionX as a tried and tested offsite method of construction.”

The Fusion design team are on-hand to help clients develop bespoke solutions and support through every aspect of the pre-construction phase. Installation is overseen by experienced managers who integrate with clients onsite to ensure a seamless well communicated approach on projects.
