Fusion Building Systems have completed their element of works, (on the 17th January 2022) for this Deeley Group installation, which was a part 3, part 4 storey student
accommodation project delivered in 2 phases. Fusion installed the roof trusses (by utilising trad deck), steel stairs supplied by the client, were placed by Fusion, and the lift shaft formed part of their scope.

The Main Contractor, Deeley Group, appointed Fusion Building Systems Ltd to install their FusionX LGSF system on a highly constrained site near a railway line, so maximising work offsite was critical. It also demonstrates the importance of early engagement for all elements including pod manufacture, so the bathrooms could be installed and positioned as the structure for each level was constructed by Fusion Building Systems Ltd.
The student accommodation building, which forms part of the £5.4m Old Bakery development, will provide 63 flats, catering for the growing student population in Bath.
