BLOG: 2023 will doubtless bring changes, opportunities, and challenges to the light steel market

Welcome to the first Light Steel Frame Association blog post of 2023.

The start of a new year offers time to reflect and consider goals and objectives for the upcoming months. 2023 will doubtless bring changes, opportunities, and challenges to the light steel market. As always, we plan to continue to use our knowledge, experience, and voices within the sector to champion the use of light steel systems in the UK.

Working for the benefit of all in the sector, the Light Steel Frame Association(LSFA) aims to showcase the people and companies making a difference in the mission to drive light steel innovations forward. This year, we are more resolved than ever to increase our championing of the use of light steel systems, and expand our engagement with professionals, suppliers, and providers across the market.

One of the ways we intend to do this is through regular blog posts, keeping you up to date with what we have been doing and what topics are at the centre of industry discussions. We will also be inviting and encouraging conversation that tackle challenges across the whole scope of construction and associated industries. In our upcoming blogs, we will be looking at the new UK Procurement Bill, following up on sustainability discussions that have taken place over the last 12 months, and looking forward to this year’s Focus on Framing event.

To help us meet our resolution, we want to talk with and hear more from the light steel community about the topics and news that matter to you. The LSFA always put communication at the forefront of what we do, but we know we can reach further. If you have something you want to share, celebrate, or highlight, we want to hear from you.

We hope you will join us in resolving to make 2023 a year of engagement and conversation so that the benefits of using advanced light steel frame systems can be seen across a wider audience than ever before.

Mike Fairey, Light Steel Frame Association Chairman
