LSFA Strengthens the Steering Group
On the back of appointing Mike Fairey as its new Chair, the Light Steel Frame Association (LSFA), has also welcomed Melanie Davies, Market Manager for supply chain member Etex Building Performance to the Steering Group.

With a UK turnover of £200m and three soon-to-be four UK factories together with an innovation testing centre in France – Etex Building Performance is a division of the global Etex Group, which unites two leading construction brands, Siniat and Promat, into one powerful solutions provider.

Melanie leads the development and implementation of commercial strategies targeting specific market segments in the UK. As a key player in the launch of Thrubuild® and Thruwall® – a range of pioneering fully tested walling and flooring solutions developed in close collaboration between Etex brands, Siniat , Promat and fellow LSFA manufacturing member, EOS – Melanie brings a wealth of supply chain expertise to the LSFA Steering Group. As a specialist in market monitoring for consumer demands and building regulation implications – Melanie has her finger on the pulse of emerging design trends.

Supply chain partner to many of the leading steel framing manufacturers, dry construction materials manufacturer Siniat creates systems for partitions, ceilings, wall linings and external sheathing purposes. Their extensive range of fully tested plasterboards, metal profiles and related accessories provide opportunities for innovative specifications, and their drylining solutions help the sector to cut wastage, improve manual handling, speed up installation times and address lifetime cost.

Passive fire protection specialists Promat has a complete portfolio of boards, sprays, sealants and adhesives to protect structural steel, concrete structures, partitions, wall linings, floors, ceilings and roofs. Their industry leading knowledge and expertise provides clients with fully integrated design solutions that deliver required levels of fire protection across both refurbishment and new build projects.

Mike Fairey, Chair of the Light Steel Frame Association, said: “We embrace the opinions of supply chain members – Melanie will be a great asset to the LSFA Steering Group. Her energy and enthusiasm together with great industry experience particularly relating to new trends and emerging markets ¬– will be valued.

“Since inauguration in Spring 2019, the LSFA is gathering momentum and now includes some of the most prominent names in the sector and wider construction industry. Our collective power will drive growth and promote specification but only if we work closely with supply chain members to gain a wider industry perspective.”
