John Sisk & Son acquires offsite construction company Vision Built Group

Sisk is pleased to announce the acquisition of the Vision Built group of companies, based in Galway.

Vision Built manufactures 2D Light Gauge Steel panels in a factory in Galway for supply to its customer base in both Ireland and the UK.

Sisk's plan for the business include retaining all of the existing 32 staff currently employed. The business will continue to serve its existing and new customer base, whilst also supporting the growth in Sisk's own demand for Light Gauge Steel, through its residential and commercial construction businesses in Ireland and the UK.

Vision Built was formed by Gerry McCarthy in Oranmore, Co. Galway in 2013, who will remain with the business and drive Product Development.
Following completion of the acquisition, we will:

• Appoint Fergal Lalor as Managing Director of the business;
• Invest in the growth of the business;
• Appoint Gerry McCarthy as Product Development Director.

Offsite fabrication will become an increasingly important element of Sisk contracting delivery with benefits flowing from a vertical integration of Vision Built into their supply chain.
No financial details of the transaction are being disclosed.
